new M1 and mossberg 42m for me.

Well, the M1 is my dads, he gave me the mossberg 42m, its an old .22. Both of these have been stored poorly for many many years and aren't in the best of conditions. I'm hoping to clean them up and make them operable. All the actions work, but its not real smooth and pretty. Anyhow, here's the pics, what do you guys think? Any help taking apart the .22?
    Here's the M1 carbine.

They look like beautiful old classics that have seen some neglect. It'll take a little work but I bet you can get them back in shape. Congratulations on your new guns!

Good luck. They look like they have great potential.

Looks like you have some work ahead of you, but they should be fine.

With some work you should have some good shooters

I got the .22 completely stripped and cleaned last night. Once I took it apart and looked down the barrel, it was apparant that whoever had the gun before it was in storage cared for it well, as the barrel is in very good shape. Looks like a whole new gun now. The plastic grip on it has 'manufac. 1938 canada' written where you can only see it once its torn apart.
