Huh. You must not have ever had a 220.

The Glock isnt a bad gun at all. I'd be happy to carry one. But do keep in mind who calls the Glock perfection... Glock does.
I think the Sig has a lot more to it than the utilitarian hammer that the Glock is.

Great. Now I need a 220. Been mulling one over for a while. It's just a little big for Texas carry, but there are new smaller 220's now, right?

Sure, there are a few options in a 220 now.

i love sigs, i'd go with the 220. but, i'm not sure if it'll fit in the 226 holster. i'm pretty sure the barrel is longer (might effect *some* holsters), but i'm not sure if the frame/slide is bigger or not.
War is not the ugliest of things. Worse is the decayed state of moral feeling which thinks nothing is worth a war. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which he cares for more than his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free. -J.S. Mill

My P220 and P226 were both made in 1991 (No rails) and they both fit all of my "full size" holsters. Barrel and slide length is the same. The external difference is basically the width of the grip.

I don't know about the 220 being a better gun than the Glock, BUT if you already have a Sig and holsters to fit it, then the 220 would seem to be the logical choice.

Longbow... I'm with you. I'd get the Glock in a heartbeat... and if someone GAVE me the Sig 220 I'd sell it and go buy a Glock with the money. I've NEVER seen a Glock fail. I've seen several Sig malfunctions. I've ABUSED Glocks in testing and they've taken it with no issues. The Sigs I've tested have seemed more sensitive. Sure, the Chicks Dig It factor is higher with the Sigs, but I don't carry a gun for the CDI factor. I'd trust my life to a Glock first, the 1911 second, and well... Sigs would be in the top five.

I had 'em all malfunction at one time or another, but I got to say the Sig takes a licken better than the Glock. The biggest difference is it hurts my soul to harm the Sigs... Glocks are a dime a dozen.
...I really do like Glocks, I just think Sigs are better made guns.

My 220 ST w/rail and a buddys 226R will both fit in the same Blackhawk holster. Not at the same time of course.
