Is this what you are referring to?

Demo is cool. Is the full program worth buying?

If you haven't used Mil-Dot before or would like to understand it better....than I'd say yes.

If you already know how to use it....it may help you with making changes faster...elevation will be quicker to calculate......it won't help you with guessing real life windage...that comes with practice & patience.

With the demo, my only advice is to take your time. Don't rush your adjustments -or- use 'kentucky windage' to guess. You'll get more out of it, if you use the dots to assist you......

Most of the long range shooting I have done is with 7.62Nato (.308) or .338Lapua. If you're just starting out with a bolt-action...I'd suggest a .308 & a mil-dot scope (or a range-finding type of scope) until you get used to judging range. It's not as easy as a lot of people think....especially when your range is greater than 300 meters. After 300 meters, bullet drop becomes a BIG deal.

Here is another site that you may find useful:

Messed with the demo briefly (had to do some work), seems cool, but I'm not sure that it was $40 cool. It'd be really sweet if you could input the ballistic data off your round of choice and gun, but I didn't see where you could do that.
