    Wearing a holster in NJ

Went to the range the other day in PA and made a quick stop in Home Depot(I live in NJ). I have a FL permit so I'm legal in PA to CC. My wife called and asked me to pick my son up from basketball practice. I stopped home on the way to get him and dropped off my gun case, but forgot to remove my holster and magazine holder. Am I breaking any NJ laws by wearing the stuff (on school grounds)?

I would think some people carry a cell phone in a "holster" and maybe a leatherman type tool as well....so I wouldn't think you are breaking any laws, but hey that;s just my take on it

Yes, your possession of a holster, which is an accessory for a firearm, suggests that you have the incorrect view that your life is something you seem to believe you still have the right to defend... this makes you an anti-social Thoughtcriminal in the People's Socialist Republic of New Jersey...Big Brother will be coming to your door soon...he is there to help, trust him..the time spent at the Re-education camp will be for your own good...

If you're that close to PA, just move here... it's easier

Actually thought about it last year, but decided to stay where we are in mercer county.

So got a lot of "joke" responces, but still wondering about my original question. My gut feeling is I'm OK, but risk getting harassed.

You've obviously been to NJ before.

I want to know how you posess a gun in NJ with only a Fl license. Do you keep gun at the range?

NJ issues firearms purchase identification cards. I can purchase a long gun at any time. Then they issue 90 day buy permits for hand guns (once you have the firearms card). Once you have purchased you can transport to and from a range (locked in a case), but can not CC.

The FL card allows me to CC in states that owner it.

I'm not sure. What I have heard is don't get caught transporting a gun (even legally) in NJ without one.

You could call the state police or any local municipality.
