JD COMPLETELY surprised me today when he came in from work and handed me a little red velvet bag and said, "These are for you. Merry Christmas."
I opened the bag and what did I find?
My very own bob-tailed Wicked Grips for Wilson.
I could say more but a picture is worth a thousand words.
They are pink and OH-SO-PRETTY!
I LOVE THEM!
Sexy grips you got there Lima... JD what did you do that she doesnt know about yet?
"Just blame Sixto"
Exceptional looking...and the grips too.
What material are they made of?

granted you couldnt force me to put a spec of pink on my gun, but thats just me
Pink isnt my thing ethier, but then again, I'm a dude. Those look pretty cool, much better than I would think.

And a Merry Christmas to you.....Very nice.
Darned nice grips to go along with a great gun, Lima.
Coimhéad fearg fhear na foighde; Beware the anger of a patient man.
Great looking grips, (I'd prefer red or blue but that beside the point)
I have a dumb question though. Never trying a pistol with bobbed grips what is the point of bobbed grips?
"[T]he people are not to be disarmed of their weapons.
They are left in full possession of them."
Zacharia Johnson (speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention,25 June 1778)"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed." ~Alexander Hamilton
I used to think it was a bunch of bunk until I got Wilson. It really does make a difference.
The and of the grip doesn't stick out so bad and something that I've found that I REALLY appreciate is that it doesn't get caught on my shirts at all. One of my other 1911s used to literally wear a hole in some of my shirts because the back of the grip was pointy and rough and would rub on a particular area of my shirt until it wore a hole right through.
This doesn't do that because it's bobbed and smooth.
That and I just like the way it looks.
And as far as pink is concerned. I always wanted some kind of cutesy, colorful grips on my gun. I started designing my own with pink flowers and a hummingbird but really didn't finish that idea.
I like the color. It's cutesy, just like I wanted.

Wow, those grips really go well with the black gun and holster! The wood grain is beautiful!
The combination really works well... it grabs your attention, but it's not gaudy.
