My son's HK USP was getting holster-worn so I made up my mind to Duracoat the slide. He requested that I do the frame as well (Woodland Tan). The next pic is a Colt 1911. Both guns were basic black prior to re-finishing. The last pic is my IDPA gun, a G17 with a black-green slide.
You know Rocky I wondered that too. A young lady that we shoot IDPA with did her G17 in Lavender (yes, purple). I noticed that some had worn off on the trigger guard and pointed it out to her. She wet her finger and wiped it off--it wasn't the paint coming off on the holster, it was the holster coming off on the paint!!
I had a little sanding to get the fit correct after painting the 1911 grip safety. After a week it was like steel. I'm pretty confident in the product!

Ps--With God as my witness I will NEVER completely disassemble a USP frame again. I've never seen so many parts! It makes a 1911 look like a GLOCK!
