Nice praire dog popper lol .
I have the same gun, different scope. I think you will be very impressed this weekend! Congrats on a great buy!
Very nice indeed. IMO, the Savage tactical models are THE best-for-the-price accurate rifles there are. The factory stock and bed with free float barrel is good. The only area you may look for improvement in the accuracy department for the Savage is partial bedding of the action. I have a beautiful Savage 110FP in .308 in an aftermarket fiberglass stock.
I did not like the factory stock at all when i had the bipod on there i could see the stock touch the barrel and that was the main reason i wanted an upgraded stock. The B&C stock is very nice for the money i think it was only like 125 or somthing like that and it has no flex at all.
B&C = Bell and Carlson? That would be the aftermarket stock I was referring to. Yes--it is more rigid than the factory fiberglass. I actually spent the better part of two days with a dremel tool getting mine to fit the way it should, then had the professional bedding job done a couple years later.
