.22s are always appropriate.
Here are three particular favorites: a Model 1922AII Springfield, a Winchester Model 1890, and an ugly duckling Winchester Model 57 that still shoots very well.

Have fired more rounds through this Smith & Wesson Model 17 with 8 3/8-inch barrel than any other handgun I've owned.

Trim little Colt Woodsman that is a nice shooter.

I like that S&W Model 17 a lot. I keep my eyes open for them at the local pawn shop and the country gun store I visit. Nice collection you got there.

Beautiful firearms, one and all!...
Love my My Ruger Mark II Slab Side with it's Nikon scope. The target was 10 rounds of CCI at 25 yards sand bagged. There is a dime tapped to the back side of the target. Who says Ruger can't shoot good groups. LOL

Just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. I've already got a Mueller APV w/Dednutz mount that I'm going to swap the Bushnell in the pic out with. I'm also thinking about putting either a GM SS Heavy Taper (already have) or GM SS Muzzle Weighted Fluted (can't find one) barrel in there instead of the Adams & Bennett that's in there now. The 10/22s sure are fun to tinker with.
I'd like to find a good deal on a minty Remington 572 pump as well. Had one of those as a kid and loved it. :hand10:

Here's an updated pic of my Browning wearing the original Walnut target stocks and a Bushnell Trophy Dot.

So far that's my best bullseye target behind it, scored a 96 - 4X on a rapid fire. :biggrin2: From the rest at 50' it stacks them up in the X-ring.

There's some beautiful rimfires in this thread to see and that's great as I really love the .22's. For me, I kind of got away from them for a while but within the past few years renewed my relationship with them. You forget how much fun they are! I'm acutally starting to have more .22's on my "Want List" than any other. I guess you do come full circle LOL! Here's mine minus my Marlin 81DL and my Ruger 10/22 Wally World Special...still need to get pics of those.

These pics make me want to go plinking....and squirrel hunting. Here's a few of my 22 handguns. Also have Henry lever action and pump action 22 magnums and an old Savage Arms 22lr/410 over and under. I've got my Dad's VERY old Belgium Browning take-down 22 short (I'm fixing it for him). That's been his favorite gun since childhood.
