Here's a tip if you REALLY need to save on hotel rooms. Stay in Primm Nevada. When I attended the SEMA show, I accidentally started my reservations a day later than intended. So, on my drive into Vegas, we stayed in Primm at one of the casinos. When other Vegas rooms were upwards of $130, we got a comparable room for $35.
The downside is a 45-minute drive to the LV Convention Center. We ran into other SEMA attendees who booked their whole stay in Primm just for that cost saving. The commute is not a bad drive, just the time.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.
Ego will kill you. Leave it at home.
I was hanging on every single word of this!Oh poor baby! Watching scantly clad or almost nude brazilian girls dancing the weekend away..

I'll be there. I'm teaching a Carbine class on 31 Jan-1 Feb and staying for the show. I'll be around the SWAT booth or aimlessly trolling around looking for cool stuff.
I will be there, hopefully for the entire time. Will have to post picture so you know how to avoid me.

My friend has an firearm/ammo importing business, so I will be an employee for a week.
I'll be there the last couple days. Didn't start looking for a hotel room early enough!
If you visit the SHOT Show website, you can find out how to get in.
I'm in as Press representing SWAT Magazine, and my husband gets in as a spouse. If you get in as Press, you need some kind of proof that you work for print/internet media. All I had to do was show the magazine masthead with my name on it. If you're a forum moderator, you may have to show online reviews or have some kind of letter from the forum Admin. stating you're representing them. It may be difficult if you're under a handle.
If you have a buddy with an FFL , you can be his "employee" if he's willing. For hotels, you HAVE to book early if you want to stay in Vegas. It's also Super Bowl weekend at that time, so it's extra hard. We're arriving early to explore Lake Mead, so in addition to staying in a Vegas hotel for the show, we just booked a couple hotel nights in Boulder City last night. So hotel space is available, if you're willing to branch out.NOTE: Only members of the trade may attend the Show, and must provide a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) number, State Tax Number, or Industry Related Business Card. No one under 16, including infants will be permitted on the Show floor.

My buddy's got a booth and a pass for me, yippee!
I live here and can't wait for SHOT
I'll be there. My company has a booth, but I'll be there unofficially as a spectator. :)
