That is amazing to me. Last time I bought any ammo at Wally World there were several people at the counter and I asked the lady at the counter to hand me a box of whatever it was while she had it open. Took 5 seconds and I was off to get what ever else I was after. I usually pay at the ammo counter but it was busy that day.

I went Saturday for a gift certificate and something for my wife, ended up with that and 2-100rd boxes of .45 & .40. Something about Wallyworld makes me think about my gun. Especially the Saturday before Xmas.

Man, I'm jealous! When I buy ammo at my Wal-Mart I pay for it at the Sporting Goods counter and then carry it around the store while I do the rest of my shopping.

    I want an escort too!

Although I buy most of my ammo at a local gun shop, I have, on occasion purchased ammo at Wal-Mart...not a problem here, they couldn't care less about what you do after you leave the sporting goods counter...I love the GunShine State!

Yea, they don't care at our Walmart. They check you out at Sporting Goods and let you walk yourself to the front.

At least your set should SHTF.

I myself pick everything else I need first, then head over to Sporting goods. Ammo's the last thing and I pay for it all there.

Here they just hand it to you to put in your cart or you pay for it in sporting goods.

I mosey on over to the sporting department, ask for a box, and I get escorted directly to the front of the line so I can check out and be removed from the premises as soon as possible :p

No waiting in line for this guy! I'll remember to just buy a box of ammo every time the lines get long. They are so afraid of ammo purchasers they will cut you in front of everyone to get you out!
Huh. The Walmarts around Orange County don't do that. I can buy my ammo at the sporting goods register and wander around as much as I want, or I can bring all my other purchases to the SG register when I buy the ammo, either way. I hate the lines at the front checkout.

Ha, yep our lines were LONG too. I wondered around walmart and got about 7 things in my cart, went to the ammo counter and bought some ammo, paid for everything else there also, waltzed out the door with a smile on my face and said Merry Christmas to the semi retired lady at the door.

At the local Walmart here, they just handed the ammo to me and I carried it around in my cart while still shopping and payed for it up front with the rest of my stuff.
