I just bought handgun ammo at the Walmart in Shakopee, Minnesota last night. They didn't even have it behind the counter, it was sitting on the shelf for the taking. I grabbed three boxes and finished shopping.

Wow, I've never heard of someone being escorted out when buying ammo. I was escorted out when I bought my 10/22 there. But you're the first I've heard of being escorted out when buying ammunition.

You want to hear something really pathetic? A few years ago I went to Kmart to buy a new rubber strap for my boy's slingshot. I spent 15 minutes looking for one with no luck. Another 5 minutes I spent looking for someone to ask about them until I finally found an employee. Turns out they were LOCKED up behind the sporting goods desk. Evidently this drone didn't have enough rank because he didn't have the key. Another drone comes by with the key, pulls out a strap and I put my hand out for it and he pulls it tight to his chest. He tells me he has to walk it up to the register himself. I can't even touch it until after I pay for it. I was PO'ed! That was the last time I'll ever step foot in Kmart. I could have grabbed more dangerous merchandise in the kitchenware dept.

I don't think it was a matter of it being dangerous, but more of a matter of not paying for it. Maybe he thought you'd put it in your pocket and walk out.
