Question Match grade .45 ACP ammo?

    Hi all,

I am going to be shooting the IDPA Indoor Nationals up at S&W in February, and I am looking for some advice on match grade .45 ammo for my P220. I'd prefer 230gr, which means anything over 800fps would be fine. Just looking for accuracy here...

    Any suggestions?

(Anybody else going to be shooting up there?)

Black Hills also makes good match ammo. Either way it makes sense to test them out and see if your gun likes them. Who knows, maybe Winchester White Box is your guns favorite hardball.

Sixto, generally not. I shoot Georgia Arms, Blazer, and S&B at my local matches. But since this is going to be a national level match with much more competition, I am willing to invest in a few boxes of ammo that might help out just a bit.

Austin, I have almost two months, and I am planning on trying out anything I think about bringing. Given what I have run through the gun previously, I might even go with 165gr EFMJ because that has been pretty accurate out of this gun. I have never tried any match grade ammo and am looking to see if it does, indeed, give a noticable improvement in my groupings.

    Thanks, folks.
