Men shoot themselves in tattoo attempt

Mon Dec 31, 11:15 PM ET

Getting a tattoo can be a painful proposition, but usually it's just the needle you have to worry about. Two men trying to trace a loaded .357-caliber Magnum as a pattern for a tattoo accidentally shot themselves, the Otero County Sheriff's Department said Monday.

Robert Glasser and Joey Acosta, both 22, were treated at a hospital in El Paso, Texas, after the shooting Thursday evening in nearby Chaparral.

Authorities said Glasser was struck in the hand when the gun accidentally went off, and Acosta was hit in the left arm. Their injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

Well, they're tattooed now, aren't they? Though, that'll leave a bit of a mark.

Never met a gun that would spontaneously fire, all by itself. Sounds suspiciously like they were attempting to pull the trigger and succeeded.

I wonder what the ultimate "facts" will turn out to be? Hm.

Probably trying to trace the trigger with the hammer cocked.

I'm just best guessing the one guy won't even want that .357 as a tattoo NOW.
    Too many painful memories.
He should get a tattoo of a large Band-Aid instead.

Maybe a more appropriate tattoo for these two would one that was on their foreheads and reads "I AM A MORON".

Some of the gangerbangers were getting bullet hole tats for a while there. Don't know if that is still Gang Vogue or not nowadays.

Saw one pic of an expired gangbanger on a toe tag table with bullet hole tats and real holes in the same vicinity. Sort of ironic.

How Not to Draw a Picture of a Gun

Men Shot With .357 as They Traced It for Tattoo Pattern

CHAPARRAL, N.M. Getting a tattoo can be a painful proposition, but usually it's just the needle you have to worry about.
