    Celtic wolf, shooting the 44 gives a much heavier recoil than the 357, especially with heavier loads. That said, muzzle flash is usually less than the 357, but you will get more muzzle rise with the 44.
    You can load the 44 up or down as well and it is a very flexible round. The pistol is also heavier than most 357's, but not by a lot.

    My favorite model 29 is a 4" black finish, kinda a plain jane. But, the trigger is very smooth and let off is crisp as it gets.
    I actually shoot this one better than my 6".

    The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is so fine and more durable with full-power loads than some would suggest.

    back in 1980 while in germany i pickup one at the rod and gun club. would take it to the pistol range and the locals would come out of the wood works to see the big gun go bang. had a great time with it then and i still do.
