I've got 4 - all pistols. Now I'm saving up for a rifle and a shotgun.
Guns? What's that?!?![]()
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

I turned all mine in at a local gun buyback. AR’s, FAL's, AK’s, Springfield M1-A, Glocks, SIGs, S&Ws, Kimbers, etc, etc. Yep. Got $100 a piece for them.

I've bought enough that there's no point in hiding the fact I have a lot.
I'll probably hit a hundred by the end of the year or early next.

"More than a few, less than a lot" is my usuall answer.
Handguns: Nine..
Rifles: Four, for a little while, one is currently for sale. That one will be replaced as soon as I am financially able to do so.
Scatterguns: One.

I feel so inadequate with only 8.![]()
Before I privately sold them all to law enforcement officers who wanted them for Homeland Security purposes in enforcing the Patriot Act off duty because they were too dangerous for a mere civilian to own, I might have possibly owned something like 7 target shooting handguns, 1 duck hunting shotgun, and 4 deer hunting rifles for sporting purposes.
But that was years ago before I went to the state education center and got re-educated by the nice men in the white coats.
I got rid of mine, because I found out that guns kill. I never did figure out where they were hiding all of the bodies.

I know that this thread has degenerated to a joke, BUT . . .
My chief asks all LTC (MA "permission slip" to own/use guns) applicants (new or renewal) for exactly how many handguns, rifles, and shotguns s/he owns. And if you are foolish enough to answer this, he inputs it to the PD computer. His excuse is that if they get called to robbery and face off a bad guy, he wants to know if the perp puts down one gun, might he have another one! Such BS . . . and I told him so . . . I said if you ever respond to my house, just consider them "armed and dangerous"!
A few of us have refused to tell him, so he meekly asked if "a few of each" was OK to put down. I said sure.![]()
BTW, since ALL transfers (private or dealer) must be recorded with the state, the PD has access to all such info from 1986 onward (for dealer transfers and 1998 for private) that they can pull up on the PD computer from the state.
My suggestion (in all seriousness) is to tell NO ONE how many of what you own, or exactly what you do own! Let it be a surprise to your heirs!
