roughly the equivalent is the Witness handguns from Tanfoglio. They are used and built on.

Matt Mink and Angus Hobdell are both pistol champions and use the CZ 75.

It's a great gun. Highly reliable. Easy to use effectively. Just the right balance of heft, size.

I've got a pair of P01's, for concealed carry. Have shot the 75's. Know many folks that have variants of the 75.

In general, I'd say the CZ 75 line is the most highly underrated pistol available.

The CZ-75 and SP-01 have got my attention for competition (USPSA) as well. I rented the CZ-75 last week and got a few first impressions.

First, standing at the counter it feels great, but shooting it for the first time was a little awkward. I think the difference in grip angle from my Glock altered the feel for me.

Second, it is very accurate (not much of a surprise).

Third, I had about 5 failures to feed. This was probably due to a dirty range gun. The range had no idea of when it was last cleaned.

Fourth, the trigger was not gritty, but not great. They say CZ triggers get better with use. I asked how many rounds had been through this gun, and again, the range had no idea.

Over all, I was not blown-away, but I wasn’t completely disappointed either. I think my expectations were too high when I walked in. With all the good reviews lately I guess I expected angels to sing after the first shot.

I think I will give the CZ-75 a few more tries before I make a decision. I would also like to try a SP-01 but they do not have one in stock. I will try the smaller P-01 to see if I can get an impression of what its big brother would be like.

If all this is for not, I will just buy a boring old Glock-17.

Yes, I agree. The CZ75 is an excellent pistol and highly accurate. Almost unbeatable for the price.

The CZ-75 is an excellent pistol The ergonomic grip may seem strange if you aren't used to having it. Once you've adjusted to the feel, you will find "straight" pistol grips feel very strange. The CZ is very accurate and yes, it does break in over time!

I've had a CZ-75B for many years and it's a great gun although I like my Sigs better these days. Many thousands of rounds down range and never a problem.

I've tried it for CCW a bit but find it somewhat heavy and large for just a 9mm. It actually weighs more than than the Sig P220 (45) I carry but it does fit the Milt Sparks VM II holster for the Sig pretty well.

I'm planning on trying my 75BD at my next IDPA shoot. It's my favorite shooter for punching paper at the regular range. For $300 LNIB, I feel like I ripped somebody off.
