    Yeah, if you want to take the slide in the thumb; she is holding it like a revolver is held when you want to thumb cock the hammer with the left thumb for rapid fire.

    This is not official but everyone I know that goes to the Sandbox gets qualified with the 9 and the 16. Everyone. Also, if it is not a combat unit, everyone gets the shoulder holster. At least all the ones I know. As for proficiency, well...

    Yes, there is qualified (USAF) and then there is proficiency(USMC) I was trained and qualified by the USAF. Many years later I learned proficiency. From a Marine.
