    New Safe!

I got my new safe I ordered from Zanotti Armor (see http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...scussion/31134)

Due to my work schedule, I only installed it last night....after a 5-6 month wait, it was well worth it. I recommend this safe for people who move often (i.e. military) who want to secure their valuables.

Although I may move in a couple of years, I do have the safe anchored to my slab. In doing so, I ended up getting the evil assault hammer drill (see pics).

Don't you just hate it when you have to buy new tools.

Make sure you hook up a "Golden Rod" in that box. Best $30 you'll ever spend.
    Congrats

I'm sorry but I must weigh in on this.....

That safe is just not full enough! you need more toys to stuff in there.

Nonetheless, keep up the good work

Yes....right now I'm renegotiating with household-6 to release funding for a home defense rifle; unfortunately, I have some travel-related expenses looming on the horizon. Trying to get one before Hellery or Usama Obama ban them for their evil features like a pistol grip or muzzle brake or bayonet lug...

I really like the lay out of that safe. And the construction and assembly concept too. Nice! Where did you get it and how much should one expect to pay for one street price?

Is this the thread you linked...

I ordered mine direct from Zanotti Armor (Zanotti Armor Gun Safes).

They do not take online ordering or payment. You must call.

In post #7 of the quoted thread I posted their prices (since 1 Jan 07--do not know if their prices have gone up). My safe (ZA-II, 6ft) was $1600 plus cost of options.

I dealt with "Mark"--very personable guy. I called him at the end of August 2007 indicating I wanted to possibly place an order. He answered all of my questions and sent me a price list. Mark also told me upfront it was about 5-6 month wait time. I was willing to wait.

About mid-September 2007, I sent them a deposit check of $200...the rest payable upon completion of the safe. Although they received the check in September, they put me on the list of August orders (yay!).

The 1st week of January, Mark called and told me they were about to cut and assemble my safe and reviewed all of my options and specifications (color, interior, left/right opening door) and gave me the final number to send a check.

Once they received my check...they shipped the safe.

Shipping was an additional $340 (came by freight--from Iowa to Virginia).

All in all...pleasent dealings with Zanotti...I highly recommend them if you are looking for an easier-to-move safe and are willing to wait.

I already have two safes...Browings. Good safes, for sure, but I sure like the idea of the safe you can dismantle...nice choice...

Congratulations on your newfound security! That is awesome! Very meticulous and to post up pics is even better! Nice investment that should last you a lifetime. BTW (by the way)--more room is better, and looking toward the future. Never give in to peer pressure unless they are willing to support you!
