Colt to bring back the Delta Elite (10mm)

I think what I want is a Colt Defender in 10mm

I have a Defender in .45 - it weighs 25 ounces with an aluminum frame and 3 inch barrel. I don't think I would want one in 10mm because the recoil might be excessive with full power 10mm ammo.

However, an all steel Colt Commander version of the Delta Elite would be interesting, with 4.25 inch barrel and weight of about 36 ounces. I think that would handle the 10mm recoil nicely, and would appeal to those who wanted to carry the gun. A Commander size is not hard to conceal.

I'll bet that Colt 10MM wont be cheap. Anyone got a clue what they will be going for?

A defender has been brought up in the 10mm sites and the general consensus was it doesn't work well. I believe it was even tried a time or two. Too much velocity on a small slide with very little space to work with.

A 10mm Defender would be similar to a G29, with the Colt being about 2oz lighter.

I've never shot a G29 but would be interested in hearing about recoil from those who have.

I've shot a .45 Defender and my father in-law's G29. Shooting the G29 with 175 Silvertips was more pleasant than the Defender with 200+P GDs. I don't think a 10mm Defender would be very pleasant to shoot.
