    .475 Wildey

Whats up with this gun? I mean, is this a conceal carry type, maybe a side arm, or a hunting pistol. It would make one heck of a SD pistol.
    My .45 ACP = 230 grains @ 950 FPS
    Wildey .475 = 230 grain @ 1,994 FPS
It will also push 400 grain @ 900 FPS

Thats a whopping 1,044 FPS faster than the .45 ACP! I may have to try this thing out!

That sounds like about 2000 ft./lbs. of energy... that might be useful for a CCW if you can get the all the BG's to line up like dominos. But I guess you knew that.

+1 great for hunting. Might be considered overkill by some for CCW. Those things aren't cheap!

The Wildeys are pretty rare, and ammo is rarer... plan on loading your own. But it's a "survivor" among heavy-caliber autopistols, and apparently quite rugged.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wildey Moore many years ago when we lived in the same Congressional district in CT and attended some meetings together. He's quite the entrepreneur and also a refined gentleman.

Well it worked for Charles Bronson in Death Wish 3. Which means a prosecutor is gona jump all over it if a widley is used in a self defense situation on the street.

Definitely not a pistol for concealed carry!! Way to big and heavy! The gas ports are also very hard to adjust and keep adjusted! There are also far better handguns for hunting.
