    Gun cleaning station

I decided to start cleaning my guns at my shop rather than here at the house. I bought a little rolling shop cabinet from Sam's Club. Then I went to the lumber yard and poked around until I found a piece of damaged countertop that I got real cheap. I mounted the countertop over the rolling cabinet and added a piece of plywood for backing. I made some "gun racks" for the front and back and added a fluorescent light. So now I have all my gun cleaning stuff, screw-tightening tools, lube, etc all in one place. When I'm not using it, I just roll it out of the way. I don't store any guns in this or at the shop, I just bring whatever needs cleaning, then take them back home for lock up when I'm finished. I used it the other night and didn't have to worry about "smelling up the house" (actually I like the smell but my wife doesn't) or spilling anything.

Very nice. Having a separate place for cleaning is a good idea.

Should cut a hole in a back corner and hang a trash can under it for easy disposal of patches, etc.

I cleaned out part of the old machine shop room at the house and made a space sort of like that on one of the work benches. It is nice to have a space out of the main house to clean and work on my firearms.
