Anyone own a Ruger .22 MKIII?

I have a MKII 5 1/2" bull barrel, but I really like the push-button mag release on the MKIII's. Does anyone own one of the MKIII's, and if so how do you like it? I'm not too keen on the loaded-chamber indicater...is this even an issue? Does it affect the trigger-pull?

The loaded chamber indicator will not affect trigger pull, but the magazine safety may.

I didn't know it had a magazine safety...damn...I hate those. I might have to think on that a little while longer, although I'm sure it can be removed/deactivated...

I have a 22/45 MKIII, and I really like it. The loaded chamber indicator doesn't bother me too much, and it has no effect on trigger pull, but the magazine safety does. I removed the mag safety and replaced it with a spacer, and that helped the trigger a lot.

I also bent the trigger bar slightly to keep it from sliding towards the center when the trigger was pulled, but I think that would have been an issue even if I hadn't removed the magazine safety. It made the trigger gritty, but was very easy to fix.

I picked up a MKIII a couple years ago and as was said the Loaded chamber doesn't make much difference (just a little more of a pain to clean). Now the Mag disconnect is a PITA. You can remove it and replace the bushing and hammer with MK II parts and you'll never know it was even there.

I went so far as to replace the "upper" Pix here:
