New Mags and loading to capacity

    OK, I finally got a new M&P 45 today.

Problem is the 10rd mags take the first 9 ok but #10 just doesn't want to go. Not being a fan of brute force to make things fit, I've got to ask " Is this normal with new mags-new springs or should I strip the mags down looking for a problem?"
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

Being a Glock guy myself---normal. In my opinion---force that last round in there. It needs to happen sooner or later, and once you do---you're gaining.

    Loading the last round

It's normal. Try the thumbs friend, an UpLULA. Watch it work here YouTube - Universal Pistol Magazine Loader. Lots of places carry it, e.g. MidwayUSA

Thanks for the replies. Got em loaded. Just part of the new equipment learning curve, I suppose. Hopefully, I'll get to the range later this week and see how compatible we are.

Howard...I watched the video. How does the UpLULA compensate for the different width magazines?
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.

There is an internal piece that is tapered to center the magazine under the beak. The beak width permits use with a wide variety of calibers. There are a few magazines that it will not work with that are listed in the advertisemet.
