    Question Para Ord Companion LDA

Ok, as I have said before, last year I acquired my first 1911, an MC Operator. After falling in love with the 1911 platform, I decided I should have one in every commercially available size (except I guess the longslide and anything else bigger than the government model).

Soooo, around the holidays I acquired a 3 inch Slim hawg. I thought my next purchase would be a Loaded SA Champion. But the other day I ran into a Older version of the Para CCO, the C7.45 Companion LDA. Now I am not a purist, being a Double action, although not the way JMB intended it, is not a problem to me, hence the operator being railed.

Anybody have any thoughts on the Companion LDA? It is a 3.5 inch 1911 and is a size I intended to get eventually. The seller is asking $550 and might take 500. Is this a good deal?

Below is a picture of a Companion that is identical to the one I am looking at.

    certainly... It'll hold value.
first thing....replace the extractor with a heavy duty one, and replace the recoil springs. Then you'll have a winner. I know... I had a para p12.45
LDA. I might even get it back again...

Well as luck would have it, I missed the opportunity. I saw the Gun Saturday afternoon and I was there when the store closed. The store was closed on Sunday and Monday and reopened at 1000Hrs today. I called at 1203hrs and it had already sold.

    Darn the bad luck!
