WOW! COOL! Oh---wait--I don't have my G21 anymore. I see there is a 1911 style pistol on the market now in 50 GI. Sounds very interesting. I can just imagine the ammo cost though.

I wonder how that would do in a bowling pin match?
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

Don't forget they've got you for the Brass too (if you're reloading):

    Reloading Supplies:
    #GIHD Hornady 50GI Reloading dies - 4 die set........... $75
    #GILD Lee 50GI Reloading dies - 4 die set....................$75

    #GIB 50GI Brass............. $ .39 per case

That said, for me (someone who does not reload), a box of 20 JHP's isn't too bad IMO.

    GI275A 275gr. GI JHP 875 fps 20/rds. $21.25

I hate you. First a 21, then the conversion kit. My wife is gonna kill me.

The shopper in her will appreciate that you are getting two guns for the price of 1/2 of the normal GI 1911 in .50

How can she pass up a fantastic "savings" like that?

Run a search...I posted a full detail on this round last January or so.
It's a strong round with low recoil impulse similar to that of .45 ACP by reports.

Agreed Matiki and that is _exactly_ my point of view toward this.
I've been wanting a .50 GI 1911 since they first came out but this would equate to roughly half the purchase price in total for the same result...and you get TWO guns in one!
The ultimate carry/HD pistol. I'd go for a Glock 20 in 10MM as a basis toward conversion.
