I'm in the same boat. I need a 1911! Almost bought a DW CBOB a couple of months ago but the deal fell through. I'm going 10mm though. Fusion makes some dang nice 1911s but I want to stay under $1200. I can grab a CBOB for about $900 shipped.

Since I've been taking pictures as of late...

Norinco 1911 worked over a bit, with another top end. It is a Colt series 70 in .38Super. I prefer shooting the super, but never carry it. The bluing is just TOO good on the colt slide to risk dinging it up.

I just bought a Colt .45 New Agent to keep the Colt .45 Combat Commander company. I use both for carry alternately.

Always wanted a 1911 since been in the service. I got a Tuarus pt 1911 stainless. Really like it.

I only have 4 1911's, but that count varies here and there.

    Kimber ProCDP series 1
Kimber Pro Carry SLE series 1 (only made 1329 of 'em)
    Sig Revolution GSR TTT
    Sig Platinum Carry Elite

The 1911 frame fits me perfectly, and I've carried some variant for over 30 years.

Not that anyone doesn't know what these look like, but ...

I feel your pain too. I just picked up another 1911 awhile back myself, and finally got out to shoot it last weekend. Nothing fancy, just an RIA, but it runs like a sewing machine.

I'm in love with the Colt New Agent...if I buy a 1911 it'll be that one. Very well made, conceals easy and of course...45acp.

There are many other pistols but for me, only the 1911 has a soul!

I think I am leaning towards the 38 super round possibly in a duo tone but not sure what to look for what kind to get what a good price would be ect. I know that I will always be a Glock fan but my mouth waters every time I see a 1911. With that I want one even more.
be sure to look at all the grips, triggers, beavertails ...etc,that you can dress them up with. i did, and i was hooked about a year ago.take a look at the customs upgrades section..
