What models are we looking talking about? It doesnt really matter anyway, I'd buy the Ruger.

Go with the Ruger, I have had to many bad experiences with Taurus. (just IMO)

The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting. It is about keeping the government in check. This requires that the citizenry is well armed and at all times has immediate access to arms.
I don't know which Taurus you are looking at but I'm partial to the Ruger GP100. That would be my recommendation.

Ruger was same price for 6" and 4" barrel. I'm leaning toward the ruger.Just need some pros and cons on all.
I must agree. While I do not think that Taurus is necessarily a poor choice, I'd definitely go with the Ruger.
Oh i found a colt king cobra 357 6" barrel stainless used $549
Ruger--American-made, built like a tank, not glamorous--but rock-solid.
Taurus--from what I've heard (full disclosure: I do not own a Taurus), if you get a lemon, you've got a real lemon. Looks like Smith & Wesson on the outside, but not necessarily the same "innards." Made in Brazil--again, not a problem, but why not keep the dollars in the USA?
OMO, YMMV. Good luck with whatever you decide.![]()
GET THE KING COBRA!!!
P.S. If you do, buy some snap-caps for dry-firing. The only weakness of this revolver is that dry-firing without snap caps can break the firing pin, which then requires a trip back to Colt itself to repair; a special jig is needed that only the factory has. With snap-caps, no problem....
Thats why i didn't get those danner boots said "made in china" right on the box.
Check out some of the King Cobra prices here:

Colt prices have been sky-rocketing for the last several years, since they stopped making DA revolvers.
If the King Cobra is in good mechanical shape, $549 is a steal.
