The deal was made in Denmark on a dark and stormy day, or Thompson fun d'jour

Ok, part 2 in my duo of true evil. This is what I get for working way too much at the shop lately and racking up a tab worthy of Mount Everest.

Yes, it comes with a violin case and 50 round drum. If I'm going to be an evil man, I'm going to be evil in spades.

I heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun and bought it.

    God help me.

Really nice, it must feel pretty good to hold one of those! So much good out there so little time.

My CAR-15 fits handily in a guitar case. Try the generic softshell guitar cases - they're cheaper than the tactical ones and don't give you away as much.

I'm also a guitar player so I had a few to try out at home before I realized this. ;)

That is so awesome beyond words. I'd die of joy if I owned something like that.

Robert - one of those is still on my ''list'' - tho yet to find one I can afford. What a piece of history even if one of the ''new production'' models.

Me like - have fun dude (like I think ya won't - yeah!)

This about taps out my gun fund for the year for anything good.

I have a reserve for my HK51 if Vector ever finishes them, but damn, it was fun to rip off a mag when I closed the shop even if that's all I had time to do. :)

    "Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner"

By Warren Zevon & David Lindell

Roland was a warrior from the Land of the Midnight Sun
With a Thompson gun for hire, fighting to be done
The deal was made in Denmark on a dark and stormy day So he set out for Biafra to join the bloody fray

Through sixty-six and seven they fought the Congo war
With their fingers on their triggers, knee-deep in gore
For days and nights they battled the Bantu to their knees
They killed to earn their living and to help out the Congolese

    Roland the Thompson gunner...

His comrades fought beside him - Van Owen and the rest
But of all the Thompson gunners, Roland was the best
So the CIA decided they wanted Roland dead
That son-of-a-***** Van Owen blew off Roland's head

    Roland the headless Thompson gunner
    Norway's bravest son
    Time, time, time
    For another peaceful war
But time stands still for Roland
'Til he evens up the score
They can still see his headless body stalking through the night
In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun
In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun

Roland searched the continent for the man who'd done him in
He found him in Mombassa in a barroom drinking gin
Roland aimed his Thompson gun - he didn't say a word
But he blew Van Owen's body from there to Johannesburg

    Roland the headless Thompson gunner...
    The eternal Thompson gunner
    still wandering through the night
Now it's ten years later but he still keeps up the fight
In Ireland, in Lebanon, in Palestine and Berkeley
Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun and bought it
"The pistol, learn it well, carry it always ..." ~ Jeff Cooper

    My favorite Zevon tune!

At the range today I was blasting away with my G21 and heard bursts of automatic fire a couple lanes away. Sure enough, a Thompson! A normal looking magazine rather than your drum, however. Still incredibly cool.

    I must ask the question!

I can understand how, being headless, Roland did not speak, but how did he aim his Thompson gun?

    Sweet!

And you were in such a hurry to run to gun store and buy it that you forgot to tie your shoe!
