Fitting a conversion barrel to fix aim

I recently acquired an EFK Firedragon Conversion barrel for my XD. (.40 to 9mm). I shot it for the time last week, and it shot consistent groups but the groups were low when compared to the stock barrel.

I would love some step by step instructions (with lots of diagrams, etc) to show how I fit this barrel to adjust the aim. I sure don't want to remove to much metal, or remove it from the wrong place - so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pretty sure you leave the barrel as it is, and adjust sights. In your case, rear sight down.

It's common to "hold over" with conversions instead of constantly dialing in the sights.

+1 on what Shizzlemah said, you could also try different bullet weights. Sometimes a lighter bullet will shoot lower then a heavier bullet.

Actually, no - I know that there is a specific method that files down a specific portion of the barrel to raise the aim. I have an idea, I just want confirmation on where/how.

Ok now that I look at the XD lockup, I am convinced I'll never own one :)

Forwardmost beveld surface on the bottom, but you better know what you are doing. You must be sure it goes fully into battery and locks up properly. Suggest a smith for the liability...
