    Customizing Your XD Subcompact

    I have seen scattered pics of guys doing this but is this a common practice? I like the idea of "tricking out" my XD.

    You can do stippling with a soldering iron or wood burner. Springer Custom is now offering a reduced-travel sear. You can get the Duracoat starter kit from Brownells for around $70...

    I had

    night sights in mind and maybe a trigger job. I enjoy shooting the gun as is though

    As always, if this is a carry piece, recommended to stay with factory triggers. Anything to keep the lawyers and DA's away. Competition gun, go for it.

    I researched the SA custom worksheet for the XDs. I think I have decided to do a few upgrades based on how the gun shoots (possible trigger job, overtravel adjustment, High Hand mod, funnel mag, etc.).
