How many guns are you taking?
Let's say a disaster hits. Massive earthquake, hurricane (Katrina class), Democrat gets elected. Something really bad. You have to evacuate. Most of us have multiple firearms. Just how many do you take and how much ammunition? And if you don't take them all, what do you do with the ones you have to leave behind?

I'll try to take them all but FOR SURE, my Ruger 10/22, my Ruger GP100, My S&W Model 19, and my Beretta 92 FS and as much ammo as I can carry. Anything left behind will be locked in place.

All, I'm not arming looters.
They who give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I would take a couple of pistols, mid size 9mm, a pair of G19's or 228's. Then at least one battle rifle, AR most likely. Depending on the situation and where I was going, an 870 or 10/22 would be going along, maybe both if I could.
The rest of the collection goes in the vault, and I hope its stll there in the shape I left it when I return.

Taking my three .45's...lots of ammo too (a case)...the evil black rifle....my coach gun...ample ammo for the last two...the rest stays in two safes!
I really don't want to leave...I'd probably quickly return and camp in the backyard if disaster did strike.
Stay armed...protect the homeland (house)...stay safe!

1 AR-15 Rifle (Bidness Gun)
1 12-gauge shotgun (close range Bidness Gun)
1 Backpack with essentials, medicine, etc.
1 pig sticker survival knife.
They can have the stuff in the house. God help them if they follow me.......

I have a .45, a 9mm, a 12 gauge, a survival .22 and 3 full ammo cans.
I've flown out to my house in the islands twice and hunkered down once. When I fly, I'll lock up the guns. If I have to evacuate, I'll take
them with me.

All of them
Ar for myself and the wife
308 Ar as a backup
Sig 556 as a backup for the backup
We each have a 12 gauge
the pistols will pack out easy enough...ammo might be a problem
unless the building is destroyed...I don't plan on going anywhere.

All and all. If I evacuate, it means really bad juju. I'll be disappearing into the mountains north of Cripple Creek.

+1, except I'd head toward the Spanish Peaks (somewhere between 6300 and 12000 feet with all of them, all of the G.O.O.D. food and two plastic bins full of camping stuff. Throw it all in the truck and it's A.M.F!

I'm like Noah...I'm taking 2 of everything, and plenty of food for them. IF I have to leave anyone behind, they will live in the same locked cage they live in now...my personal preparedness plan is written with early evacuation in mind...

I'm suprised more .22's dont make the list; the are probably the best survival tool you can have.
