Kimpro Mag Disassembly
Ok....this isnt a blonde joke....or not intended to be
Have searched the forum but couldnt find out how to disassemble a kimpro mag. In training I frequently drop the mags on the ground as I change clips and I know I should be cleaning the mags, but I dont know how to get 'em apart to clean.
Thanks in advance....

Well, I don't have that exact magazine but, I do have some that are probably similar if not identical.
Depress the center hole in the floor plate and push the inside metal plate up.
Use something like a nail that will fit inside that hole.
The floor plate should then slide off.
Depending on the mag maker either to the front or to the rear.
It might seem stuck (usually they just force them on when they factory assemble the mags) but, it will move/slide in one of the two directions.
Once the floor plate is off - notice the inner locking plate.
Everything should then slide/come right out the bottom of the magazine.
The inner locking plate may or may not be attached to the bottom of the magazine spring.
Notice how the mag spring is positioned under the top follower.
The spring should go back in with it's high end underneath the front of the follower - where the bullet is - Not the other way at the back of the cartridge.
The best thing to do if it's your first time is take one apart.
Then after you've cleaned that one and when your ready to reassemble it....take the second one apart- lay it out and copy the way everything goes back together on the first one.
You'll need to push everything back in and while pushing up on the inside locking plate (with something like the eraser end of a pencil)
Slide the base plate or pad back on & (IMPORTANT) tap the magazine until you see the "inside base plate" lock back into the exterior plate or pad - by the protrusion on the inside plate popping back into the outside floor plate hole.
It's hard to explain but, it's a breeze to do.
Just go for it. You won't have any problems.
