    New hunting revolver

Been looking for a used Ruger Super Redhawk 44 Magnum for deer hunting. Found this beauty for $545.00. Only had about 50 rounds shot through it before I got it. It has 50 more through it now. I put a Pachmayr Decelerator grip on it. Sweeeet !
Reckn it'll knock down a deer?

Very nice. My dad used to have one with a Leopold scope on it. I am trying to find one exactly the same to get him for Christmas.

I've decided I don't want to put a scope on it. I bow hunt and hunted with a revolver for the first time last year. I like the idea of the deer having to come in close. Got one last year at 20 yards with a 357 ( a 4 inch bbl ). This 44 has a 7.5 inch bbl........

Nice, those pachmayrs will help a bunch. I opted for the Redhawk instead of the Super, just preference on the looks of them I guess.

You might be surprised at how accurate you can be with that without a scope. With a rest I wouldn't have a problem taking a shot with my Redhawk at 70 to 100 yds at a deer and that is only with a 5.5 inch barrel.

    Enjoy your shooting.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

    Nice weapon...

Used to have the 'Redhawk' in Alaska...nice scope, too...sold it to a fisherman...often regretted it...

    Stay armed...stay safe!

    Oh yeah...
