Sometimes when you are away overseas, other people sell your guns.
Holy moly - hardly know what to say to that! If I am dead then fine - sell and distribute but being away and having them sold from under you - man, that is something else.

Most of the things I had of any value were sold or broken when I returned.
I guess they thought I would end up in Nam and get killed. Sort of had me dead and buried. My brothers said "Didn't think you were coming back".

    cjm5874,
No need to apologise. I feel for ya man.

I had a Romanian SAR1 that had a beautiful stock and finish. I put a stock extension, a Ultimax scout mount w/h a red dot scope. When I sold it to my bud, I told him to get a gun-safe, post haste. Of course he didn't . He even showed it off to ALL of his buds. No surprise that it was stolen within a month. I'm glad I wrote up a sales receipt . It still ticks me off, that there is another firearm on the street.

In a moment of real insanity, I traded a BHP for a couple of S&W's in 9mm. I forget the model #'s, but this was back in the early 80's. I don't have the Smiths now, so I lost the whole outfit.

I have a friend that had all his guns sold by his soon to be ex wife while he was on the road driving a truck. Came home to find his guns and motorcycles all sold off and the papers for divorce sitting in an empty house. So I have seen that sickness first hand. That is rough to handle.
