I was at the range today and decided to do a failure drill. I brought my HK USP compact .45. I loaded an empty .45 brass case in the middle of the magazine. I knew that there was no way an auto would load just a piece of brass. well i was wrong! It loaded the brass and went completely into battery. It also ejected the case just like normal on the rack. This .45 has a guaranteed place on my hip for a long time!

I didn't think it would feed the piece of brass because some autos won't even feed hollow points, and there's a limit to every mechanical device. I guess I was trying to give it a test i never expected it to pass, and there it goes.

I've got a full size .45 that I don't plan to ever let go. It's not going to be my concealed peice but it's the go to pistol for when the aliens land.

Been carrying mine for about 6 years now and the thing is flawless, shows no wear n tear of my 24/7 carrying . It's been in the desert, in sub 0 Michigan winters, cycled several thousand rounds at the range WO being cleaned, is as accurate as any tricked out 1911, and will as you found out feed anything you can put in the mag.

I'm looking to sell my usp compact .40 as well.. great gun just never could shoot it well. It is much less snappy than most other .40's that I've shot however.
