I want to put a RIFLE SCOPE on my Ruger Hunter Single Six... oppinions?

Well before I purchased my first .22, let alone my first firearm, I use to shoot a lot of high quality adult rifles and pistols, some match pistols actually had a RIFLE scope and they needed to be held differently. One method known is called the "Taco hold."

I once had a co2 pistol (crosman MKI modified to shoot silhouette), it could shoot one hole groups at 10 yards with a rifle scope and when shot at 25 yards, a quarter will cover the groups all day long.

I would like to put a rifle scope on my Ruger Hunter Single Six because I have found it to be extremely accurate, with the iron sights at 7 yards I could put 5 shots almost inside the same hole (with federal champion ammo), a penny could cover up groups 2 times the size, very impressive and really want to see what the gun can do at 50 yards with the .22Mag cylinders... but irons are out of the question to really see the true accuracy potential.

Has anyone here ever seen a Silhouette type pistol in .22LR with a rifle scope? The recoil is not enough to warrant I not use the 'taco hold" this set up, this would be a real wicket pistol :D I better inquire about vermin hunting in the state of Georgia :)

A few examples I found on google

It's a matter of different strokes for different folks. If I was to acquire a set-up like you are suggesting I'd loathe the thing as ungainly and never use it.

I imagine that some of my favorites would leave you cold. That's what makes the shooting hobby endlessly interesting.

One thing to remember is that high mounted scopes amplify parralax issues.
