So which one of you liked Takleberry the best?

    Hoppes # 9.
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

    No doubt, Hoppes #9.

CLP smells like it's not just going to clean my gun, but clean my skin to the bone. Works great, but I just can't stand the smell.

Kleenbore Formula 3 Gun Conditioner. Smells great. Mixes well with bourbon and ice.

I love the Hoppes No. 9. I've been using it ever since my dad showed me how to clean my guns as a child. If a smell can conjure up memories, Hoppes No.9 is the one that reminds me of many pleasant hours spent grinning and cleaning.

    Not so strange a post.

Did you ever stop to think though, what chemicals must be used to give off that aroma that you're inhaling?

Believe it or not, (even though I like the aromas), I try to always wear gloves and a mask when I clean my firearms.

Though I do have sentimental childhood memories of Hoppes #9, I prefer the smell of CLP. I like it when my wife dabs a bit of CLP behind each ear. It's a real mood setter.
