I was at the gun range earlier and the range guy showed me two cases from a 17hmr that had the rim of the case bulged and blown out,every round in the box they shot had the problem,this was factory federal ammo that apparently was overloaded.Sometimes even factories have malfunctions and can have kabooms as a result.

I have a .17HMR rifle, I'd better go check my ammo supply. Nope, only Remington and CCI.
Thanks duk for the info though, I'm sure others may have this ammo.
