I've had several sets and love them.
I prefer the VZ 320s, they didn't "dig in" as much as my Gatorbacks, and I also have a set on my Hi Power that I really like.
I kept the 320s on my Baer until I got some red/black G10 Hornded Lizard Monkey Grips for it...I think I need to put my VZ 320s on my Springer.
I've been wanting some of the VZ G10 Operators, but that's going to have to wait a while I think.
I'll post some pics shortly.
Here were my black/gray VZ 320s on my Kimber PRO, the only thing I didn't like about them was that they looked like crap when they got damp from sweat or oil deposits.
Here's my Springer w/ black paper micarta standard thickness gatorbacks.
Here's Lima's Kimber wearing the slim gatorbacks. **Note that there's no grip material over the plunger tube**
Here's my black paper 320s on my Baer.
Here's my ball cut VZ Hi Power grips.
Ok, last one...I think
My Davidson's Monkey Grips, red/black Horned Lizards on the TRS.

Thanks for the pics i'm trying to decide what would look good on a SS gun kinda leaning toward grey/black or green canvass

Those grips look great I like the ones for the Browning, whats the price on a set like that? Do you have a web site for them? I wonder if they'll ship to south africa hmmm.
there is a website VZ grips and they run $75.00 plus S&H for the browning high power, the 1911 grips run from 55.00 to 65.00 depending on type

And as stated, $75.00 a set. IIRC Mil-Tac also makes HP grips, but thy run about $100.00.
Check out VZ's gallery, for the stainless, I actually think any set of black grips will look sharp, or if your going with the gators, the black/red combo looks real sharp.![]()
Here's some black paper on stainless... they looked great, but I like the feel of my Davidson 4x4's better.
and this isn't stainless, but the Kimber has green/black linen slim grips.

JD, those are nice but they don't compare to Mr. Wilson's "stunningly wicked" grips. That description by Limatunes still cracks me up!

The Bill of Rights: Void where prohibited by law.
Thinline Gatorbacks from Brownell's website. VZ website doesn't carry thinline officers for some reason.

I had the VZ grips on my 1911 for awhile. I didn't like them as they were too smooth for my liking. I have replaced them with Wilson's new "Starburst" grips and they are the best I've ever used.

I'm looking for a set that look cool but also have good gripping ability without being so aggressive they tear you're hand up after a couple mags,I think I might be leaning toward the "operator" model or maybe "Gatorbacks"

I like the Gatorbacks on full size guns, on the smaller guns, even the Kimber Pro in .40 I had, the Gatorbacks did get a little abrasive which is why I went to the 320s later on.
On 5" all steel gun, I've got no complaints. I haven't gotten to feel a pair of the operators, but Bud White has some and spoke highly of them when I asked him for his opinions. The Operators come in either G10 or micarta.
