    one million would be excessive.

I have 8 30 rnd mags for my AK. I'd like four more. I have four 15 rnd mags for my primary home defense pistol. I'm happy with 4. My carry gun is a revo. I have one speed loader but would like two more.

Primary---8 mags hi-cap total. The least amount of magazines I have for any pistol is five and the most is twelve. All of my pistols are carry pistols depending on conditions or my gut feelings. Largest magazine round count is 19, the smallest is 8.

I have 6 magazines for my 1911 and 4 for my Hi-power, but I only have one spare magazine with me when carrying.

As for my rifle, I have 13 15-round and 2 30-round magazines for my M1 Carbine. I usually only have 2 loaded 15-round magazines in the vehicle when the rifle is with me (which is not very often). Here in Colorado we are not allowed to have a loaded rifle in the vehicle so it is not loaded.

4 Wilson Combat mags for each of my primary defensive handguns (1911s).
    8 thirty-round mags for AR .223
    4 twenty-round mags for the AR .308
    2 fifteen-round mags for BHP 9mm
    2 six-round mags for Kel-Tec .380

Those are what I consider my "service" mags. I have a number of others that I consider second-tier. And I didn't even list Uzi 9mm and M1 Carbine mags.

I always carry an extra mag for whatever defensive weapon I'm carrying.

    6 for all pistols.
30 AR, I got a good price on them. If I had not the count would have been about 15.

I have 2 .45 cal 1911's and have 3 mags each plus one spare for a total of 7.
One 38 Super 1911 with 2 mags (used to have 3 but gave one away and have yet to replace it.)
My 40 cal, 2 mags (plan to get another someday)
6 30 rd. mags for each of my aks and one spare. (exact total 19)
I also have a few 5 and 10 round AK mags (maybe five?)
My SKS rifles both take AK mags, but I consider those rifles spares or backups, so they really don't have their own mag supply. One is used mostly for deer hunting with a 5 rounder and the other is a safe queen.
6 30 rd. mags for the mini 14 and one five round.

When I buy an Ak or whatever, I buy six 30rd mags for it. That's just what I do. I was issued six in the corps, so I guess that idea just got stuck in my head. I would eventually like to buy more, say maybe a total of 30,(since I have 5 rifles that take them if you count the SKSs), but money is always an issue, and the SKS rifles seem to really only like the Chinese mags (which, you guessed it..I have six of them) but they are hard to come by these days.

Still, with the mags and ammo I have on hand I feel equipped to handle anything short of a full scale zombie uprising.

Primary Carry is usually a glock 17, 40+ standard 17 rd; 10 30 round mags.

When I carry the g19, I have 14 [ 12 in reserve with two for the gun ]

Sig 220 which I carry in the cooler weather, 10 mags

    M1a, 38 usgi 20 round mags

    AK's, 36 30 round mags, 3 chinese 75 round drums

AR's, 50 or so roughly split even between 20 and 30 rounders and 3 betamags for 100 rds each.

    Beretta 92's, 14 mags

    SA XD45, 12 mags

    S+W M+P full size 9mm, 10 mags

The rest of the autos might have no less than 4 mags, and the guns were bought strictly for the safe queen status.

I'm still buying mags and adding to the stock on hand. I like to have enough for the next 3 generations that can use em

5 is my minimum number for my carry pistols, but I seem to accumulate a lot more than that.

I have a dozen or so for my 228, same for my 220. I cant keep track of Glock mags, those darn things are like rabbits in my workshop. Every time I turn around, there are more of them sitting there. I have no idea how many there are of those.

6 is my recommended minimum for a battle rifle, but again, I have collected a lot more than that. I have a 55 gal garbage can full of M16 mags, but I keep my stash of good mags in my safe. I have 20 or so of those. Excessive I know, but I have a feeling they will be financing a nice vacation here in the future.
I don't have near that amount of AK mags, I have 8-10 of those maybe.
