He probably said "Uh oh" because he knew that someone (I guess in this case, that'd be me ) would see this thread and say that deliberately putting one of those things on the gun is incredibly stupid.

The though behind having a safety mounted to the trigger is it encourages unneeded finger on the trigger use. Likelihood of a AD may increase, and the gun already has a passive trigger safety .

Internal locks are the reason I won't buy new S&W revolvers (with the exception of one I bought used because it was just too cheap to pass up, hypocrite, I know).

If Glock started forcing the internal lock, I would stop buying them. IF you need to lock your gun up and don't have a safe, unload the gun, open the action, run a cable lock through it and keep the key handy.

Honestly, in my opinion, there is no reason for someone without a big safe to not buy a small pistol safe. I have a digital safe that I got for $50. Keyed ones are $20 at Wal-Mart.

Anything that can possibly render the gun useless should not be on a defensive firearm in my opinion.

absolutely not worth it! if you mean to store it then unload it and put it in a safe or whatever locking container you are forced to use for transport ..... or ..... keep it fully loaded, round chambered, full mag in place - that way it is ready immediately - no middle ground here
