I'd definitely go for those with steel feed lips to avoid possible issues. As far as aftermarket accessories for the 10/22, I think Butler Creek knows what they are doing. Eagle and Shooter's Ridge are other manufacturers for large capacity 10/22 mags. Personally, I don't have much use for anything other than the OEM 10 rounders

Butler Creek 25 rounders with the steel lips, hands down the best.
Have 2 of them that snap together.
Have countless rounds through them without a hitch.
Have owned some plastic lipped ones in the past, all of them have been transported to the junk yard.

With 10/22s it is a high gamble on what works best. Neither of mine will feed BC Hotlips or Steel lips, One loves a 30 round eagle mag while the other hates it.
If there is one mag out there that i would put my bet on it would be a TI25 in Alum or Composit. They are a bit more expensive than the rest but are the best mags i have ever had. The composite ones i beleive are the best because on a hot day picking up black aluninum sucks! You can also dissasemble and clean them out
The first one i had took a bit of playing with and about 400 rounds to break in but now it works without a hitch and has run probly 2000+ rounds since break in.

I have the BC steel lips 25 rounders and love the looks I get when I rapid fire them at the indoor range.

I have noticed they (the magazines) cannot be opened up for cleaning...

How do you guys clean these suckers? ??

I have four Eagle International 30 round mags, they are a stackable mag and I have not had any problems from them and have put around 2000 rounds or more through them. two of the mags have an external slide on the back of the mag that will engage an extended mag release if installed to help in your mag changes.
