M&P Forum gone?
Mods, if this is considered rude to ask about another forum here, please delete...I seem to recall some of the folks here also frequent the other forum, that is why I asked here.
Does anyone know if the M and P Forum, formerly run by "Jester" then sold or transferred to another person, is gone for good or what? I have been unable to get anything for days, and now get one of those generic web pages when I hit the FS button for it. That place was a great tech resource for that particular gun.
Thanks
EDIT-Well, just found on another forum that the "Domain Name Expired," hadn't noticed that. Guess it wasn't paying the rent, which is a shame with the amount of info there that looks to be gone.

It looks like the domain expired, but it was also renewed. So I say give it a few days.

How do you know that it was renewed? That's good to hear if it is... The 'smiths and training pros who frequented the site really offered some great content.

I've been freaking out the past couple of days! I don't know if I'd be able to visit one less gun site.

According to what I see, it has not been renewed. I wonder what is going on?

Just FYI there is no problem with you asking about what happened to another forum.

I can't believe none of the moderators or 'founders' from the M&P forum have posted anything regarding this subject on DefensiveCarry or other forums.... At least none that I've seen.

I heard from Jester yesterday via eMail. They were caught off guard about the expiration. They are scrambling to get back up.
I own domain names and used to support several servers. It's surprisingly easy to have this happen. That, said, I think there is some more to the story because it is taking a long time to get back on line. The domain name expired on 7/11. It was renewed on 7/12. I've offered to help, but have not heard back.
Suffering MP-Pistol withdrawal. Good thing there is also Military & Police Owner's Forum to reduce symptoms.

It's not your browser that finds an IP address from a name. It is something called a DNS (Domain Name Server). The new information must propagate to the DNS you are connecting to. Does not happen all over the network at the same time.
