    Last I recall, people usually have negligent discharges with any gun because they disregarded safe handling rules. Glocks are no more special for being "unsafe" than any other guns.

    Do a search for negligent discharges and accidental discharges on this forum and you will find many threads of members having these instances with multiple firearm models. You will even find one where a member dropped his "super safe" (as you claim) 1911 and it discharged, damaging his new tile floor.

    This isn't meant to stir up the hornets nest of 1911 lovers out there, I just merely would like to point out the fact that disregard for safe handling rules by the user, will make that user unsafe with a perfectly safe weapon.
    I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
