    Being a lefty I was originally taught, and still use, the slingshot method. But I there's no reason I couldn't use the hand over method, I guess.

    You can also you use the Slide Catch, button, lever, what ever you call it. Works Well on Glocks. You just come from underneath and squeeze your right hand hitting the slide catch, you can then clap your hands back together for a shooting grip. Its pretty quick.
