So, I decided its time to get a new rifle for the fall. I tend to like things more traditional, so the Browning SA-22, and Thompson Center single shot rifles appeal to me.

I'm undecided as to which rifle to get. The choices are the Browning, a custom shop G2 Contender .22 LR, or a custom shop Encore .22 LR. Between the G2 Contender and the Encore, the Contender is lighter and weight and sure would be easier to carry in the field. But, the Encore is available with some really nice fancy walnut stocks.

Anyone own any of these, have any experience, or thoughts in general?
