Yep mine is sloppy but its still solid!
Im interested in the grease for carry only, and a thin layer at that. I think, at the range Ill use Mobile 1.
I just got a couple of ounces of Brian Enos's slide glide for my Springfield 1911. It does well, but honestly I can't tell the difference between it and Bearing grease. And bearing grease is a lot less expensive. The stuff even smells the same.
Once the slide glide is gone I'll stick to bearing grease with a little moly mixed in on the slide rails. Stuff works great and won't run out like oil. Try it - a few bucks can't hurt.
I use Amsoil from about1976 to now. When I shoot lot of action pistol I put a little Amsoil greese on the rails of my Les Bear, works great. :sport21:
