Ruger SP101- trigger/hammer spring question
I have a Ruger SP101 2-1/4" and I have trigger return and hammer replacement springs ready to install and try out. With absolutely no experience at this task can anyone tell me if there is a spring removal/insertion tool that I can buy that would make this project easier and if yes, can you suggest a specific tool and online seller?

Springs
You need a small paperclip to capture the mainspring, that's the only thing you might not have on your workbench.

+1 on the safety glasses... and just step inside a huge trash bag and tie it shop when you disassemble, so you don't lose the spring if it goes flying!
Just Kidding!
But +1 on the safety glasses.

If it hasn't already been said, go to:
www.rugerforum.net
After you make ten post you will be able to see the IBOK. It's a booklet you can download that tells more than you would ever want to know about working on a Ruger Revolver.
It was put together by a retired Gunsmith named Iowegan, also a member of that forum, and worth it's weight and more in gold. IBOK stands for Iowegan's Book Of Knowledge.
