Anyone Have A C&R License?
Does anyone have their C&R License? I applied for mine a few weeks ago and was wondering how long the process takes to get one. Also, I am mainly getting it for myself because I love to collect WWII era firearms and relics. Any other advice/personal experience would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

ATF paper work says 60 days, since 9-11 it's a crap shoot. over on Parallax Bill's site C&R folks say ,takes any where from 1 month to 2+ months. my initial license ,pre 9-11 took right at 60 days,my last re-new took 14 days. jwr
PS:,noticed you said you were getting it mostly for yourself.thats all a C&R is good for. it's not for a business or buying for friends.it's a Curio and Relic FFL you you.

Looked at the Maryland Shooters Site where I saw the first thread that got me interested, and it seems that the last few that mentioned time frames (spring - summer this year) got their C&R back in about 25 - 30 calendar days.
(Still waiting.)

Send your FFL to Southern Ohio Guns, Century Arms, and places like that. They'll send you occasional catalogs with some great deals on even non-C&R weapons they have in said catalogs.

Just about or a tad over a month. Mine did.
Midway and Numrich also give dealer prices to C&R FFL's. You'll get on their email specials dealer list

They are great fun. I don't remember how long it took to get mine (or the renewal, which I have done once), but you will be glad you got it.
Like someone else has said, send signed copies to all the biggies (AIM, Southern Ohio Gun, Century Arms, J & G Sales, etc.) , and you'll double your fun.
Enjoy!!

B52,
Mine just came in today. The application went out in the mail August 4th so it was 41 days. Good luck with yours.

Hmmm, must have made a minor screwup or got the wrong clerk processing mine.
Where did you get your M44?
