I always clean mine thoroughly, but it's going into storage while I'm deployed, so I'm Q tipping it right now. Q tip cleaning an M16 is a pain though. Took me 4 hours to deissue last time I went to rifle range.

    I can't answer without a proper category.

I clean all my weapons after shooting...even a single round!

But, I do not shoot my carry guns every week, and have 2-3 that get in the mix pretty often. I clean these at least every 2 weeks, if not every week. I don't like dust bunnies

A carry gun should be cleaned after it's been fired. It's a "carry" gun, and as such it should be as serviceable as possible when your life hangs in the balance if you have to use it.

On the other hand, my range guns get cleaned whenever they start to puke for some reason or whenever I feel like it.

One has to know their weapons puke point in order to feel comfortable not cleaning it all the time.

I clean it thoroughly after a range session, and sometimes in between to make sure the barrel and things don't have any lint hanging around. It may be several weeks, but even after a thorough cleaning, breaking the pistols down again reveal more crud worked out by dry firing, or over time. When I head to the range or carry them, they are immaculate even though I hear that it's unnecessary for a Glock to be in pristine condition to be ultimately reliable. That's just how I am with all of my firearms.

Besides that I do a clean every morning before I holster it for the day, I remove all lint and inspect the barrel. That N I inspect the OCS, Knife, spare mag and M6X.

Keep my carry weapons clean, at least once a week. If my life depends on it, it is well maintained.

My G27 and my 442 are immaculate and inspection ready at all times. I detail strip and clean after any barrel work. Old Marine Corps habit, if I only had a footlocker to sit on.

I clean my carry guns after each firing. I'll admit that it has taken me a week to get around to it but when I do I will strip it down completely and do a detail clean.

Same thing with my IDPA gun except I might let them go a couple of weeks before I get around to doing it.

Cleaning my weapon is very therapeutic and relaxing for me done after every firing, don't know why? Usually gets interrupted by wife complaining about gun cleaning solvent smell lofting through the house.
